Lake Area Equipment Maintenance, Inc. was established over twenty five years ago to provide a greater range of services other than welding and fabrication. These needed services were Screw piping, Repair and rebuild of Markey tow winch, Anchor windlass repair and Water tight integrity. We strive to provide quality service that meets our customer's needs. We have over 60 years combined experience on ocean going tugs and barges. We are A.B.S. and U.S.C.G. certified unlimited. We also have the competent person certificate.
Our Powder Coat Division was started over 17 years ago. We are capable of coating anything metal, from small to oversized in any of our 3 ovens ranging in size from 4'h x 4'w x 4'L to our newest oven that is 10’h x 10’w x 25’ L. All items are blasted with garnet or aluminim oxide, then coated to requested specifications. We have a great array of colors in stock, including candies and metallics to choose from.
Our shop is located approximately 1.5 miles East of I-210 off of Hwy 90 East, at 120 Freds Road, Lake Charles, La. Our shop was designed and equipped for fabrication and repair needs of any size. We have an overhead crane, a press brake, as well as other equipment necessary for a wider range of fabrication.
